A Hill Country Elopement

Central Texas Photographers with Rae Allen Photography capture an intimate elopement in Liberty Hill was a dreamy southern hill country backdrop perfect Drew and Chelsea’s most magical minimony.

Shooting Star Ranch is a Texas hill country wedding venue with style, southern hospitality, charm and sophistication. A truly authentic Texas wedding experience.

The 7000 square foot barn was built close to the end of WWI (1918) to provide shelter and storage for a family-owned dairy farm. The renovated barn now serves as the reception site of the venue.

A tree-lined country road winds towards the venue and 150-acre working ranch. A converted milk barn, now a bridal suite, showcases French doors that swing open to welcome you into the opulent space.

Whether it is the gorgeous two-story barn, lush lawn under majestic oak trees, or sophisticated limestone balcony and stairway, there was a perfect backdrop no matter where you looked. Light shot through the striking trees creating bright beams of golden hour light.

Chelsea and Andrew arrived with 20 of their closest family and friends. It’s special to note, that even though this is a true elopement, Eric and I work diligently to capture specials details in a way that isn’t rushed. Equally important are the simple moments that matter the most.

Blue details, dreamy jewelry, a grand staircase and white and green floral hues set off the 100 year old historic barn.

As always with my micro and elopement weddings, a group picture shot is always taken, and the lovely group cheered on the couple as they kissed on the grand staircase.

A first dance carried the couple underneath the twinkling lights on the gorgeous grounds, and tears were shed as father and step father each received their own dance with their daughter.

An adorable cake was cut, pink champagne toasts were made and soon, with glow sticks in hand, the small group lined the walkway to a horse drawn carriage.

Together, Drew and Chelsea, hand-in-hand, walked past their cheering family and stepped into the carriage. A kissed sealed the end of the night as the newlyweds rode off into the moonlight.
