The Chavez Wedding in Houston
Last minute details all came down to the wire for the Chavez Wedding in Houston, Texas. Samantha and Eric with Rae Allen Photography made a special trip to celebrate Megan and Santi’s union at their newly renovated home.
It was a second wedding with the Howell family, and the third event we have photographed for them. It’s a high honor when you have repeat clients for such special moments. Megan and Santi both met while working together as physical therapists. Not only did they want to celebrate their wedding with their close family and friends, but they also wanted to welcome their guests into the newly renovated home.
When we say down to the last minute, Santi hung the barn door that Megan’s wedding dress hung on the night before the wedding. Not only did he hang it, he built it.
The backyard was the stunning ceremony back drop and the large patio acted as the dance floor. The windows of the house let in a perfect breeze as guests drifted in and out of the home. Cheers and love lit it up.
They took just married imagery on the street, in front of their home, in the kitchen where Santi made Megan a drink, and the bedroom, where they shared a private moment. They danced the night away and the crowd never stopped moving. At the end of the evening they surprised their guests with a mariachi band. Santi’s mother danced and sung in the kitchen, while the friends and family cheered her on, and finally Santi twirled Megan around the living room as the mariachi played.
It was the perfect exclamation point to a perfect day.
