A Wedding Party at the Liney Moon
Samantha and Eric with Rae Allen Photography went on location this past April for a wedding that doubled as a family reunion in Dripping Springs
The Liney Moon is located in Dripping Springs, TX, less than 40 minutes from downtown Austin. The 8-acre Texas hill country property is a unique and unforgettable experience. David and Janessa rented out the entire facility over for days to spend extra time with their large family.
You’ll remember these two from our crisp fall engagement session last Fall. David and Janessa were so easy breezy and truly only had eyes for each other. Their wedding day was no different.
Janessa stunned in her fit and flare gown as her father walked her down the aisle. David couldn’t contain himself. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
But the tears didn’t last, and soon enough the party started. The siblings toasted the newlyweds, razzing them as siblings do, and the parents gave heartfelt speeches. Glasses clinked and the large outdoor event turned into one big dance party. Traditional Mexican dances blended with country tunes and the traditional line dances that had guest twirling around the dance floor.
Janessa put on pause on the music to call her mother to the dance floor. A unique moment was when Janessa celebrated her mother, thanking her for everything she had done for them. Instead of throwing her bouquet she gave it to her mother as a thank you.
After that David was more than just a little excited to toss the garter. He sat Janessa in a chair and gave her a dance, that had everyone laughing.
These two had such big emotions, it filled the entire space at the Liney Moon. If only for a moment, us vendors get to spend such an important moment in a person’s life. That’s a huge honor. To be able to capture and somewhat bottle up the emotion of the day is hard to do, but as always, well worth the effort.
