THE SHADY VILLA INN
Central Texas Photographers with Rae Allen Photography goes on location to The Shady Villa Inn was the perfect choice for Chris and Julie’s Maternity Session. Tropical plants, manicured walkways, and over grown roses were dreamy backdrops that complimented the Frampton’s easy going nature.
I shot Julie and Chris’ wedding a Barr Mansion almost one year ago, so what a treat to be able to be a part of another pivotal moment in their lives. When her and her husband gave me a call to take her maternity session photos for their first child I was delighted.
I knew I wanted something that had various stunning backdrops and areas where that golden light would shine through. For its 150 year history, The Shady Villa Inn has welcomed Texas travelers with a penchant for small towns, state history and hometown watering holes.
The historic hotel buildings are situated amidst lush landscaping under a canopy of Texas oak trees. They had me at 150 year history.
A breezy day didn’t slow us down. Bringing their fur baby, Brownie, we began at the pecan tree by the Inn and then toured garden at the Salado visitor center, enjoying all the native plants. We circled back around to capture the tropical wildlife that surrounded the pool and
we chased the remnants of a golden sky by the hotel. Any shoot that a client has with me should be a fun, but peaceful experience. You should feel energized and happy.
Then, I tell you to go have dinner together, or with the family because why not make a complete event with it? Enjoy the little moments, because they are always gone too soon.
Golden light, pink roses, green ivy backdrops. A special session for a most special family, and doesn’t Brownie look amazing?
