Lady Bird Lake in Austin ,Texas served as the backdrop Elle and Henry’s romantic and lush engagement shoot this hot July.

Beginning at the stunning back lawn of the Four Seasons Resort, Eric, myself, and Elle and Henry started on dramatic steps that led down to a canopy of lush greenery, and yellow and blue accents. It was just the right color combination that complimented Elle’s polka dotted dress to perfection.

In fact, these two couldn’t take a bad photo I swear. I looked through every image in detail as I edited them, and every photo was Instagram worthy, which, as a photographer, makes photo selection incredibly difficult. First world problems, I know. Next, we worked our way to the Adirondack chairs, where Henry had a Gomez Adams moment, kissing his way up Elle’s arm. These two had so much fun with each other, and were not afraid of showing their affection towards each other.

A quick wardrobe change to a more casual style, a few bamboo shots (ya’ll know how I feel about that), and finally we ended up on a deck leading out to Lady Bird Lake.  Elle and Henry managed to gain an audience with a few locals watching from a restaurant above us. Unfazed, the two ended the evening cuddled up next to each other watching people paddle board and kayak across the lake.

I am anxiously awaiting their March wedding at Mercury Hall in Austin. It can’t be anything other than gorgeous and fun, just like these two.

xoxo- Samantha + Eric
